Pacific F2000/FF: Portland Event Moved to Buttonwillow

The Pacific F2000/Formula F Super Series Championship Presented by Corsa Car Care officials have confirmed that the originally planned doubleheader at Portland International Raceway has been replaced with a return visit to Buttonwillow Raceway Park.

Rounds Nine and Ten of the 2012 Pacific F2000/Formula F Super Series Championship was slated to take place in Portland on July 14-15, however, that has been moved and rescheduled. The west coast-based series will now commence its traditional summer break, before returning to action at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on September 8-9. Commencing the final four race charge for championship honors, the Pacific F2000/Formula F Super Series Championship races will be part of the VARA Oktoberfest event at the southern California road course.

The Formula F Super Series class, which had not been slated to compete in Portland, will once again participate with their F2000 counterparts during the California doubleheader.

The remainder of the 2012 Pacific F2000/Formula F Super Series Championship Presented by Corsa Car Care schedule remains intact, as the season-finale Rounds 11 & 12 will be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway as part of the VARA for the Jeff Saltman Memorial event on October 6-7.

Rookie Bobby Kelley enters the summer break leading (225-168) fellow first-year racer Camden Geise in the Pacific F2000 title fight. Reigning F2000 champion Conner Ford is at the top (250-149) of the Formula F Super Series points table, ahead of Ed Erlandson.
