PALMETTO, FLA. (January 27, 2010) - Andersen Racing and race car driver Anders Krohn recently completed their first test back together, after spending the 2009 season apart. The duo won the F2000 Championship Series in 2008, and will be running together in the 2010 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear. The test was held at Sebring International Raceway in Florida, with the majority of this year’s competition present.

Quickly getting reacquainted with the team and car, Krohn was inside the top-two in five out of six official practice sessions. The 22 year-old was extremely happy with the way the team worked and progressed throughout the three day test.

“I’m very happy with how everything went during the test," Krohn, who hails from Stavanger, Norway. "The team did an excellent job, improving the car every session. The working relationship has kicked off in a great manner, and it’s as if we never spent a year apart!”

Showcasing their strength as a team, Andersen Racing had several of their drivers regularly inside the top-five; Mikael Grenierfrom Quebec City in Canada raced for the team in six Star Mazda races last year, and returns for a full season this year. Tristan Vautier comes from France as a Formula Palmer Audi race winner and FIA Formula Two Podium finisher. Dom Bastien, 64, comes to the team with several years of Skip Barber experience and will compete for top honors in the Masters-category.

The first race of the season will be held at Sebring International Raceway on March 19th. Until then, Andersen Racing will be hard at work preparing their cars for the 13-race season. Krohn, who is also referred to as “The Viking”, is looking forward to the upcoming challenges.

“I cannot wait to get back in the car and get the season started," ended Krohn, who is now headed to Houston, Texas. "After such a positive and productive test you just want to keep on going. My teammates and I will be pushing each other hard all the way, and that’s going to be a huge help come race time. I’m super-confident in the team and know that they will be on top of their game as well.”
