Morning race fans,

The Firestone Indy Lights contest their final non-oval event of the year this weekend, with a doubleheader at Infineon Raceway in Northern California. With such a tight title chase this season, it will be vital for all the championship contenders to score points in both races. EFCN will be keeping track of all the action at Infineon and posting up to date results here in the forums all weekend long, so be sure to check back often.

Cheers,

Hi gang,

Thanks for the info Zach. From what I heard AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing's Raphael Matos was quickest until the closing stages of the session, when Guthrie Racing's Franck Perera put in a quick lap on his final tour to win the pole.

Later in the day the talented French driver led from start-to-finish, securing his first-ever Indy Lights win over championship front-runners Matos and Sam Schmidt Motorsports' Richard Antinucci. After the race, Perera randomnly selected that the top-eight will be inverted for race two of the doubleheader on Sunday, placing Team Moore Racing's Pablo Donoso and RLR/Andersen Racing's Daniel Herrington on the front-row. Below are the results from Infineon raceway. Entering Sunday's race, Matos leads Antinucci (444-443) in the championship fight.

Race 1

1. Franck Perera
2. Raphael Matos
3. Richard Antinucci
4. J.R. Hildebrand
5. Logan Gomez
6. Ana Beatriz
7. Daniel Herrington
8. Pablo Donoso
9. Jonny Reid
10. Robbie Pecorari
11. Mitch Cunningham
12. Mike Potekhen
13. Sean Guthrie
14. James Davison
15. Juan Manuel Polar
16. Jonathan Klein
17. Arie Luyendyk Jr.
18. Dillon Battistini
19. Brent Sherman
20. Christina Orr
21. Tom Dyer
22. Cyndie Allemann
23. Mark Olson

Cheers,
