Well, I think we all know who drives the safety car in F1… but there are still some secrets to be found in this series. For instance, in testing cars at the British Grand Prix there was a small car, called the Safety Car, which had to be used by Lewis Hamilton in the pits for his first ever race in Formula One. He was fitted with a sensor device to detect if he made a mistake, and then he got the penalty. So there is a little known safety device in the car, which prevents a lot of accidents at races.
Lewis Hamilton is now married and has two children, so I am guessing he doesn’t need to worry about winning or losing any money! I also wonder what he thinks of all these TV cameras watching his every move? It does look like he is trying to make himself into a TV star… These camera lenses have a built in zoom lens in them which can focus on a very small area. So you can focus a much larger scene on that tiny little camera lens than you could ever do with your eyes. The images from these cameras are very clear and very crisp.
So these secret cameras have been hugely popular with teams and drivers alike and I am not sure why. Personally, I think it’s a shame that TV took over the real racing but it is what it is, and F1 is an expensive sport to be watching live on a television screen rather than driving and racing on the track. Anyway, I am sure there are lots more fascinating articles on this topic around the internet so I hope I have helped you find the answer to who drives the safety car in F1. Until next time, remember the yellow flag… and try not to crash!
Who is the youngest f1 winner?
Who is the youngest ever Formula One race winner? This is a question that has been on everyone’s lips since the inception of the motor sport in the 1990s. Some may say that they have seen the greatest, while others would place their bets with someone who has been around for a little while. In order to find out who is the youngest, we need to start at the beginning; the first ever race in Formula One. The year is 1992 and there are three teams in contention to take home the Formula One title, Ferrari, Renault and BMW.
Leading off the podium is Ferrari, led by rookie driver Felipe Massa. Renault, having got off to a horrible start, does not make up for its poor performances in the early races and is contented with third place. BMW, having lost many of its engine parts in the early stages, does not appear to be up to the challenge of Ferrari, who is leading by a large margin in the championship. With an experienced driver like Massa leading the way, there is every chance that BMW will overcome its nemeses and win the Drivers’ Championship.
However, there is something that will prevent this from happening. That something is Lewis Hamilton, who happens to be the youngest ever winner of the Formula One championship. Though he is the established leader of the field, many believe that he could easily defeat Mercedes and take the title. But then, who is the youngest Formula One champion?
